Frequently Asked Questions
Am I a candidate for microblading?
You are NOT a candidate if you experience keloidal scars, are pregnant or nursing, have Lupus or other autoimmune diseases, have seizures, have or are currently undergoing cancer treatment (unless you have a note from your doctor).
If you have had permanent makeup done in the past, you will need to email or text a photo of your brows so it can be determined if they have faded enough.
How long does it take?
The procedure takes approximately three hours.
Should I wax my eyebrows beforehand?
No. It is best if you have not had waxing at least three days prior to your appointment.
Is it okay to have Botox?
Botox and fillers are fine as long as they are done more than three weeks prior and after your procedure. Please take into consideration your touch-up appointment as well.
Do I need a touch-up?
As your brows heal, they will shrink and lighten about 30-40%. The purpose of the touch-up is to perfect them.
How long will it last?
Microblading will fade anywhere from 12-24 months depending on skin type and lifestyle. There are color boost appointments available.
How long is the healing time?
You will be sent home with aftercare instructions to follow for the next seven days. It's important that you avoid sweating, swimming, sun exposure and makeup on your brows during this time. Full healing takes approximately four weeks. Your six- to eight-week touch-up will be scheduled at the end of your procedure.
